CrawlSpace DIY is an online shop that sells everything a person or business might need for fixing, repairing, or protecting their crawlspace. Their products help provide moisture protection, foundation repair solutions, and also help to control humidity in the crawlspace.  Crawlspace DIY helps an average consumer avoid large contractor fees by providing DIY solutions and products targeting specific problems that most homeowners have with their crawlspace. 

 

The Challenge

Website visitors were not staying on the site and they were adding to cart but not purchasing

CrawlSpace DIY was successfully selling their products on Amazon, but wanted to increase their sales through their own online ecommerce store. The margins that Amazon was forcing CrawlSpace DIY to pay was not sustainable long-term. They wanted to increase user engagement on their online store, increase their conversion rate for people adding to cart and then ending up placing their order.

They also wanted exit intent popups and incentives or offers to keep people on the site and encourage them to purchase their product.   

 

The Solution

Implementing the right incentives and offering value

Our team was able to develop an exit intent popup form that would activate when customers were trying to exit the website before they completed a purchase.  The exit intent popup was a simple offering for 5% off their total order in exchange for adding in their email for the discount code.

Additionally, we implemented a “hello” smart bar at the top of the page that would follow site visitors throughout the website with an offer that they were interested in for 5% off their total purchase. 

We also implemented SEO content optimizations to their website and improved their PPC campaigns with specific keywords. 

 

The Results

500% increase in monthly sales while keeping the same marketing budget

CrawlSpace DIY immediately saw massive growth after implementing these growth changes. They were able to increase their monthly revenue from $15,000 to $90,000 a month in sales. Within the first day of implementing the exit intent popup, there were 2 large orders placed in excess of $2,000.

With just a few changes the online store. CrawlSpace DIY was on a trajectory to triple their business revenue.
