The Challenge

Grow a podcast from scratch to a sustainable monthly listener count

The show was just starting out with zero listeners. They needed to increase their listeners and also find new guests to be on the show. The challenge was to scale this new podcast to reach and deliver value to entrepreneurs and business owners over a wide range of industries and niches. 

 

The Solution

Implementing a done-for-you content marketing strategy

We were able to implement the Catalyst Content Formula for the Grow Like a Pro Show. The content process was as follows: pillar content, micro content, social media content. The pillar content was to create a weekly show, where the hosts interviewed a wide range of successful individuals nationally and internationally. The guests ranged from networking experts, investors, venture capitalists, high-level athletes, serial entrepreneurs, and more. They also spanned multiple industries and verticals with varying experience levels sharing their wealth of knowledge through their background, experiences and skills.

After creating the pillar content, it was then reworked into micro content, such as blog posts, short form videos and short form audio snippets. After the micro content was created, the social media content was able to be created from there and scheduled for release. The guests on the show, were also given a sharing kit on how they can share the podcast with their own audience in email, social media, and their networking circles.

 

 

The Results

Increased listeners to 1,000+ every month within a year

The result of our growth implementation was very effective for their content marketing strategy. The show was able to be featured by iHeart Media as up and coming in the entrepreneurship category. Because the guests were equipped with shareable content, and we created a custom aggregation list of other platforms to publish on, the show saw massive growth.

The growth of the show was able to be achieved with zero advertising dollars. The organic content strategy allowed for massive growth and organic reach without paying for advertising.
